How many times have written a song and thought it would be great in a TV show of a film? Then I'm guessing the next thought was how one goes about doing this.

In this video I talk about the basics in understanding the process in which songs end up licensed into production.

The Music Supervisor is the gate keeper in this game. But it doesn't mean that they have the last say. There are many other factors in getting a track into a project

Without a doubt, getting a song into a project can be powerful to everyone evolved. If it's an artist it can be a giant boost to the career through the exposure.

If you're a first time writer and get the opportunity to get a track in a project it could break you into the business and bring attention to you - possibly getting some kind of record deal.

And of course let's not forget the royalties especially if it makes it on network TV! Either way it's going to take a ton of work but it can be done
